Charlotte's Naked Egg

Wednesday 28 March 2018 No comments
Today Charlotte brought along her naked egg to show us. It was very cool....until it popped all over the carpet.

Words we used to describe the naked egg:
  • Squishy
  • Smelled
  • Chubby
  • Slimy
  • Light
  • Wet
Equipment:
1 egg
A bowl or a cup
Vinegar

This is the steps Charlotte did to make her naked egg:
1. Get an egg out of the fridge/cupboard.
2. Get a cup/bowl and fill it 3/4 with vinegar.
3. Put the egg into the cup/bowl and leave it in there for 3 days.
4. Watch what happens over a few days.

Tips:
You may like to change the vinegar after a day.

What to do if we get lost

Thursday 15 March 2018 1 comment
As part of the Keeping Ourselves Safe unit we have been exploring what to do if we get lost. We have learnt that it is really important to know our home phone number or one of our parents cell phone number. We have made a poster that we add our name to once we can tell Miss Dore one phone number off by heart. Please help your child to learn a phone number off by heart so they can tell someone if they get lost.

Tissues

We have been going through a lot of tissues in Room 18. It would be helpful if every child could bring one box of tissues to school for class use throughout the year.

Your support in this would be appreciated.

Grace Dore.
