Reflection

For maths this week we have started learning about reflection. We used the stencils to draw pictures and then flipped the stencil to draw the reflection. We enjoyed getting the mirrors to check if we had drawn the reflection correctly. 

Carters Goal

Carter shared with us today the booklet he made about bikes. We learnt that there are over one billion bikes in the world!

Daniel's Goal

Daniel loves playing rugby so he made a poster all about rugby to share with us.

Production Info

No Homeweek

There is no homework this week because it is production week. It could be a good idea to use this time to finish any learning commitment goals.

Costume Reminder

A reminder to please send your child to school with a named bag with black shorts or leggings and any colour t-shirt for our production. We need these to do a dress rehearsal. Many thanks!

Madison's Goal

Madison created a new dolphin species and made a powerpoint to go with it. It looks fantastic! We especially loved the colours she used.

Buddy Time-Paper Chains

On Friday we spent the afternoon with our buddy class. We were given 1 a4 piece of paper, a glue-stick and scissors. We had about 12 minutes to make the longest possible paper chain. At the end we lined them all up in Te Puna Ako to see who won. This was lots of fun!

Sophie's Goal

On Friday Sophie taught the class some of her gymnastics moves. These looked great!

Zoe-ann's Goal

Zoe-ann painted a family portrait and shared it with Room 18 on Friday. We were very impressed!

Animal Contour Drawing

On Friday we did animal contour drawing. This is when you only draw the outline of the animal and no extra details. The cutting out was the hardest part. They look great! These will be glued into our time to shine books that go home at the end of the year.

Sports/Cultural Photo Ordering

You are now able to order the sports and cultural photos. The info for this came home with the newsletter on Friday but you can also see the info in the picture below. There are copies of the photos in the school office if you wish to see a hard copy.

Marley and Ngarewa's Goal

On Wednesday, Marley and Ngarewa taught the class a soccer drill and then everyone played a game of soccer. This was fun! They finished with a quiz on soccer ,which was hard but we learnt some new things. Awesome team work Marley and Ngarewa!
